The MonsterMarketplace is shopping directory that all MonsterCommerce clients are given the opportunity to submit their storefront to for FREE. Your store will need to meet the MonsterMarketplace submission guidelines before being accepted. Once accepted, you will receive an approval e-mail with a link to your store landing page within MonsterMarketplace. and you will have the ability to edit and add information to enhance your store's listing. Enhancing your listing is a great way to inform your customers of payment and shipping options, store hours, store location, and more.
After your store is live in MonsterMarketplace, you can access the "Account Management" screen from the MonsterMarketplace menu in your Storefront Control Panel. To reach the “Account Management” screen, click on the “Manage My Listing” link from the MonsterMarketplace option on the left hand side of your Control Panel. Once the MonsterMarketplace screen opens, click on the “Manage My Listing” link displayed on the right hand side of the screen.
Once you click “Manage My Listing,” a new window will open. The first tab you see is the "Home" tab. This tab contains general information about your store listing as well as the category and subcategory your store has been placed within. The purple tab represents your location. Other tabs displayed will take you to their respective pages within the MonsterMarketplace Account Manager. The "Home Tab" will always be the first page you see when accessing your MonsterMarketplace account information.
General Information
Store Name: This is the name for your store listing and the "keyword" name for your store when submitting your site. A Keyword name is one way that visitors will use to search for sites within the MonsterMarketplace.
Store URL: This will be the Web Address listed for your site within the MonsterMarketplace, the link that visitors will have to get to your store. For example, www.mydomainname.com.
Your Listing URL: This is the Web Address for the landing page to your store within the MonsterMarketplace. For example, www.mydomainname.com/contactus.aspx.
Date Approved: This is the date that your store was approved and activated within the MonsterMarketplace.
Total Hits: This is the total number of customers that have clicked on your landing page within the MonsterMarketplace.
Total Click-Through's: This is the total number of times that someone has visited your actual online store from your MonsterMarketplace store landing page.
Category Information
- Top Level Category: This will be the main category that your store will be listed under in the MonsterMarketplace. Your store can only be listed under one Top Level Category at a time. You do have the option to change your category listings by submitting an Express Support Request through your Control Panel.
Please note:Changing your Top Level Category will directly influence the ranking of your pages within the Search Engines. Changes are NOT recommended for Search Engine Visibility purposes.
- Subcategory: This will be subcategory that your store will be listed under in the MonsterMarketplace. Your subcategory listing is directly related to the Top Level Category that your store is placed within.
Store Icon
The Store Icon is an image which represents a "thumbnail" of your store within your MonsterMarketplace store listing. When you make changes to the Home Page of your store, you can update your thumbnail by clicking the "Refresh" button. Your Store Icon will automatically update every 30 days.
The Account Info tab gives you the ability to display your store and business information on your MonsterMarketplace landing page. The business profile information added here will help to enhance your store's listing within the MonsterMarketplace. Information such as Payment and Shipping Options, Store Address, and Return Policy is optional; you decide what will be displayed by content you enter.
The Click Reports tab gives you the ability to track the overall performance of your MonsterMarketplace store landing page. From this tab you will find information on the number of visitors to your MonsterMarketplace listing that have made a purchase from your store, called store conversions. You will also find information on the traffic to your MonsterMarketplace listing and other conversion statistics. Each report section requires that you specify both a start date and an end date to view the report. You can either enter a date into the text box or choose a date using the calendar icon. Click on the "View" button to generate the report for each report section for your specific date range.
The Help Tab will give you access to the Merchant FAQs. The FAQs are updated on a monthly basis, if you have questions about your MonsterMarketplace listing or account please check for new FAQs before contacting Technical Support. If you do not find your answer in the FAQs please contact Technical Support directly.
