What is the Site Settings Menu?

Your storefront system automatically creates storefront pages and emails order information to your customers. The Site Settings Menu gives you access to general storefront display and backend management options.

Site Settings & display examples

Each option listed below can be enabled or modified from the Site Settings Menu. These settings can directly influence the overall layout of your storefront and customer integration.

  • Send order emails as HTML emails: by enabling this option your store will send order alert emails in HTML format in place of plain text.

  • Order email from name: the text that you enter in this field will display in the "From" field on any emails sent out automatically from your store.

  • Order email from address: the email address that you enter in this field will display in the "From" field on any emails sent out automatically from your store. Responses from your customers and New Order Alerts will also be returned to this address.

    Please note: If you do not fill in a valid email address for this field NO emails can be sent out from your store.

  • Auto-send order confirmation email to customers on new order: by enabling this option your store will automatically send an email confirmation to your customers when they successfully complete checkout.

  • Auto-send order confirmation email to customers on cancelled order: by enabling this option your store will automatically send an email confirmation to your customers when you have moved their order into the "Cancelled" status folder.

  • Auto-send order confirmation email to customers on completed order: by enabling this option your store will automatically send an email confirmation to your customers when you have moved their order into the "Completed" status folder.

  • Display subcategory listings: by enabling this option any subcategories off of your main category listings will be displayed within with side menu navigation.

  • Label for your price: the text that you enter in this field will display to the left of the dollar amount for each single quantity of product on the storefront.

  • Number of products to display per page: enter a number in this field to represent how many products to display on each category page before the site automatically creates multiple pages.

  • Number of columns in product lists: enter a number in this field to represent how many columns of products will be displayed on each category page as well as on the Homepage Specials.

  • Primary sort order for product lists: select the method that you would like your products to display on your pages; no sort order, in alphabetical order by product name, by product price from lowest to highest, or by the sort codes that you have assigned from 0 to the highest number.

  • Text to display on the homepage specials: the text that you enter in this field will display directly above the products you select to "feature" on the front page of your store.

  • Display "Buy" button in product list: by enabling this option your customers will have the option to add products to the shopping cart from the summary of the product, without having to view the full detailed listing.

  • Display quantity box in product list view: by enabling this option your customers will have the option to select the total number of a product to add to the shopping cart from the summary of the product, without having to view the full detailed listing.

  • Display thumbnails in product views: by enabling this option small product images (thumbnails) will display with the product summary. The full size product image will display when customers click to view the full detailed product listing page.

  • Display thumbnails in cart details view: by enabling this option small product images (thumbnails) will display next to each product when viewing the shopping cart details page.

  • Display product item number within product detail page: by enabling this option the Item Number that you assign for each product will display when customers click to view the full detailed product listing page.

  • Display MonsterCommerce copyright: by enabling this option you agree to display the MonsterCommerce copyright at the bottom of your site's pages.

  • Company name and default title tag: the text entered in this field will be displayed to visitors in the top of their browser window. This text will be the default display for any page which does not have a Meta Title. Title Tags are one item which helps search engines determine your web page relevancy for certain keyword phrases. Therefore you may also see this text title in search engine listings.

  • Default description meta tag content: the text entered in this field can work to influence the description of your pages in the crawler-based search engines supporting this tag. This tag will default for any page that does not have a Meta Description.

  • Default keywords meta tag content: the text entered in this field can provide additional text for crawler-based search engines for any page that does not use Meta Keywords.

  • Number of hours to adjust order date/time stamps: the date/time for your store is displayed in Eastern Time Zone, (GMT -5:00). If you are not in the Eastern Time Zone, please enter the number of hours to adjust your order stamps correctly. For example, if you live in California you would enter “-3” to adjust your date/time stamp.

  • Minimum order amount: the number entered in this field is the lowest dollar amount set on an order before checkout is permitted on your store.

  • Message to display when the minimum order amount is not reached: the text entered into this field will display as a warning "pop-up" message when the total dollar amount of the items in the shopping cart equal less than the Minimum Order Amount.

  • Display confirmation alert when an item is added to cart: enable this option send an alert "pop-up" message when a product is added to your customers' shopping cart.

How do I save my changes?

If you have made any changes within the Site Security Menu you will need to click the "Save" button before they will take effect. If you would prefer to exit without saving, click on the "Cancel & Return" button to return to the main Site Admin Menu screen.
