  User Manager

What is the User Manager?

For security purposes, any individual who will need to access your Control Panel should have a unique user identity (username and password). The User Manager allows you to create new users and modify the permission levels of existing users.

How do I use the User Manager?

The User Manager Menu gives you the ability to create new users, modify the permissions of existing users, modify existing user information, and delete current users. Users will be listed in alphabetical order by User Name from top to bottom.

User Manager Menu from your Control Panel

Click the "Add New User" button at the bottom of the screen to enter the Administrative User creation screen. From this screen you will need to enter a User Name, Password, and confirm the Password for your new Control Panel User. If you are sure you want to add this user, click the "Create User" button. To return to the main User Manager Menu click on the "Cancel & Return" button.

Create a new Administrative User

Users can be removed from your Control Panel by a Super Admin User by clicking the "Delete" button.

Do User Names and Passwords have any special requirements?

Control Panel User Names can be any length up to a maximum of fifty characters and they do not have to contain any numbers. Once you have created a Control Panel User Name you will not have the option to make any changes.

Control Panel Passwords must be a minimum of seven characters long and must contain at least one of the following:

  • Uppercase Character - ABCD
  • Lowercase Character - abcd
  • Numeric Character - 1234
Examples of passwords that would not be valid:
  • tempy1 - this password is only six characters and does not contain any uppercase characters
  • temporary - this password does not contain any numbers or uppercase characters
  • T3MPY12 - this password does not contain any lowercase characters
    Examples of valid passwords:
  • T3mPor4ry - this password is 9 characters long, contains upper and lower case characters, and more than one number
  • tEmpY807 - this password is 8 characters long, contains upper and lower case characters, and more than one number

Control Panel Passwords are only valid for 90 days. After 90 days your password will expire and you will be require to create a new password. After your password has expired any attempt to log in to your Control Panel will cause you to be redirected to the expired password update screen. At this screen you will be given directions on how to change your expired password. For more information on how to create strong passwords read the Small Business Security Quick Guide.

Please note: for your security, you will not be able to use the four passwords used previously for this Control Panel User account when creating a new password.

Can I change another Users Password?

Super Admin Users have access to make changes to other users permissions and passwords. Clicking on the "Edit" button for any individual user will open the "User Details" screen . The User Details screen will not display the current password for that user, although it will give you the option change the password.

Change a User Password

If you change the password you will need to click the "Change Password " button before it will take effect. If you would prefer to exit without saving, click on the "Cancel & Return" button to return to the main Content Manager Menu screen.

Please note: for your security, passwords can only be changed once every 24 hours.

What permissions can I give my users access to?

Standard Control Panel Users can have any area of the menu enabled or disabled through the permissions menu. Super Admin Users automatically have full access to all areas of the Control Panel.
